We're Surrounded...

...by summer squash, that is! Our plants are producing so much. It's great, because they're producing & we're harveseting. But we've never been big squash eaters. That's ok, because we're learning, and I get to try out new recipes that have squash.

Tonight, Raelee and I sliced & diced about 15 summer squash, then stuck them in freezer bags. Into the freezer they went. We can eat only so much during the week. This will give us some for later on when the plants stop producing (whenever that happens!).

I tried to be creative by cutting the squash into different shapes--traditional slices, crinkle-cut slices, wedges, cubes. At least it'll look different when we cook it up. :)
