Today was absolutely gorgeous!! Perfect early Spring weather. The kids were both in good moods. We spent all afternoon outside, playing, having fun. Joshua and I are going to do a vegetable garden this year--a real one, not just the container gardening I've done the past few years. We decided that we'd move the kids' play equipment and put our garden there. So after moving the sandbox, swingset, etc., we had a LOT of leaves to rake up and haul out. Joshua put together a rather large pile of leaves. And the kids loved it!
We let them have one last jump--one last "hoorah" to cold weather, one last reminder that Spring will be here soon, one last pile of leaves to romp around in.
It took Daniel a few tries before actually figuring out that he could actually jump into the leaves! He would run as fast as he could and slide into the leaves just like when he plays baseball. Finally, he took a chance and jumpd and landed close to the top of the pile! He was so giddy with excitement when he finally figured it out. :)

Daniel decided that the pile of leaves was his new home. In this picture, he said he was "sleeping in his new home." Too cute!
